SMTP Settings

Hello and welcome to Insight Goat AI! 😃

In this article, we’re diving into the SMTP settings for your whitelabel solution.

So, what are SMTP settings? SMTP, or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, is the standard protocol for sending and receiving email messages between servers.

To send emails from our dashboard and utilize your whitelabel effectively, you'll need to set up your own servers. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Navigate to My Agency.

  2. Select SMTP from the right-side menu, or use this link to get there quickly.

You’ll now see the SMTP settings page.

Understanding SMTP Settings:

  • SMTP Hostname: This is the address of the server responsible for sending email messages via SMTP.

  • SMTP Port: This network port is used by SMTP to transmit email messages between servers and from email clients to servers.

  • SMTP User/Email: This refers to the email address and authentication credentials needed to send emails through your SMTP server. These credentials are crucial as they verify the sender's authorization to use the server for sending emails.

  • SMTP Password: Enter your password here.

After you’ve filled in these fields, don’t forget to test the connection by clicking the Test Connection button. Make sure to save your settings by clicking the Save Settings button.

And there you have it! You’re all set to send emails through your whitelabel.
